Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Global Investments (“Global Investments”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit globalinvestments.net, contact us, or otherwise engage with our wealth-management and property services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are (data controller)
Global Investments is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, you can contact us at:
Email: info@globalinvestments.net
Or via our contact page.
2. The personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
Information you give us
When you complete a contact, enquiry or lead-capture form on our website, we collect the details you choose to provide. These typically include your name, email address, telephone number, and the message or enquiry details you submit. If you correspond with us by email or telephone, we keep a record of that correspondence.
Information collected automatically
With your consent, we use analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Where you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4, which collects technical and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate (anonymised) location, device and browser type, and referral source. Analytics is only loaded if you select “Accept” on our cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics data is collected. For full detail, see our Cookies Policy.
3. Lawful bases for processing
We rely on the following lawful bases under Article 6 of the UK GDPR:
- Consent — for setting analytics cookies and, where applicable, sending you marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiries, to operate and secure our website, and to administer our relationship with you, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Performance of a contract — where you have engaged us for a service and we need to process your data to deliver it or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with our regulatory, anti-money-laundering, tax or other legal obligations.
4. How we use your personal data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide the information or services you have requested;
- arrange introductions to our regulated partners where you ask for regulated advice;
- manage and maintain our relationship with you;
- improve our website and services (using analytics, where you have consented);
- meet our legal, regulatory and compliance obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Analytics (Google Analytics 4) is gated behind your consent via our cookie banner and is not loaded unless you accept. For a full explanation and how to manage your preferences, please see our Cookies Policy.
6. Who we share your data with
We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipient, only as necessary:
- Regulated partners. Where you request regulated advice, we may pass your details to the appropriate authorised firm so they can contact you. Insurance and protection advice is provided through NFS Insurance Advisors, and investment advice is provided through Financial Services Network Ltd. These firms are independent data controllers in respect of the advice they provide and will handle your data under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers (processors). We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf and under our instructions, including Google (Google Workspace for business email, and Google Analytics where you consent). These providers are bound by contract to protect your data and may only use it to deliver their services to us.
- Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose data where required by law, regulation, court order, or to our auditors and legal advisers.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Google, may process data outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place — such as a UK adequacy decision, the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — so that your data continues to receive a level of protection consistent with UK law.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements. Enquiry and contact-form data is generally retained for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law or our regulatory obligations. Analytics data is retained in accordance with our Google Analytics configuration. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. How we protect your data
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. These include access controls, encryption in transit (HTTPS), reputable cloud providers, and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
10. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase your data (the “right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- data portability — to receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@globalinvestments.net. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
